Gymnastics
Performance
I trotted into a row I bent down so I was in a crouch.I could hear the audience talking it was like they were talking about me no they couldn’t they didn’t know who I was. “And Action” our couch directed.I could hear the footsteps of my group moving into a line.I was next what if I failed well there was no time for thinking cause it was my turn.I leaped onto the mini trampoline and started to bounce and off sprang.I could feel the breeze of cool air blowing in my face.THUMP! I hit the ground I threw my hands up for the end. Then we all crouched down again.
My row did the splits.Once we held the splits for 10 seconds we stood up the row in front of us knelt and the front row sat.Soon the audience clapped. “That was great I told my sister while we walked over to the mat.I sat down ready to watch the rest of the performances.
“Wow” the lights turned off. Glow sticks were shining.I could see the audience whispering to one another.Once the performers started the gymnastics got interesting.
I could feel fear filling my body what if someone popped out in front of me.Lights were dancing around the pitch black room it wasn’t that dark cause you could see shapes.I could hear a baby crying it was awful.Soon the performers were frozen a hursh light shined right over everyone. “And that brings our performance to an end”our coach beamed. It was a great performance. But the last thing was the awards. “Here are level one awards.”She pronounced. “Eva Williams Caitlin Williams” I was petrified there were hundreds of eyes staring at me.My cheeks turned in to tomatoes.
“Time to go”mum told me.I could feel the pressure sink out of me.I was so exhausted. “That was great,
you both are a star, for a reward you can get an ice block.”My mum beamed.A smile appeared on my face.
